II II'ei-mata mahaprabhu nacite nacite'arit'-grame asi' 'bahya' haifa acambiteSYNONYMSei-mata-in this way; mahaprabhu-Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu; nacite nacitedancingand dancing; arit-grame-in the village known as Arikgrama; asi' -coming;bahya-sense perception; haifa-there was; acambite-suddenly.TRANSLATIONSri Caitanya Mahaprabhu danced in ecstasy, but when He arrived at Ari'­grama, His sense perception was awakened.PURPORTAri-grama is also called Aria-grama. Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu understoodthat in that village, Ariasura was killed by Sri Kra. While there, He inquiredabout Radha-kuc;la, but no one could tell Him where it was. The brahmaQa accompanyingHim could also not ascertain its whereabouts. Sri CaitanyaMahaprabhu could then understand that the holy places known as Radha-kuc;laand Syama-kuc;la were at that time lost to everyone's vision. He therefore discoveredRadha-kuc;la and Syama-kuc;la, which were two reservoirs of water intwo paddy fields. Although there was very little water, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhuwas omniscient and could understand that formerly these two ponds were calledSri Radha-kuc;la and Syama-kuc;la.
