PLATE TWO"When Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu passed through Vrndavana, herds ofgrazing cows saw Him pass and, immediately surrounding Him, began tomoo very loudly. Seeing the herds approach Him, the Lord was stunnedwith ecstatic love. The cows then began to lick His body in great affection.Becoming pacified, Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu began to caress thecows, and the cows, being unable to give up His company, went withHim. Then when the Lord chanted, all the deer heard His sweet voice andapproached Him. When th does and bucks came and saw the Lord'sface, they began to lick His body. Not being at all afraid of Him, they accompaniedHim along the path. Bumblebees and birds like the parrot andcuckoo all began to sing loudly on the fifth note, and the peacocks beganto dance in front of the Lord. Upon seeing Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, thetrees and creepers, overloaded with fruits and flowers, fell down at thelotus feet of the Lord and greeted Him with various presentations as ifthey were friends. Thus all the moving and nonmoving living entities ofVrndavana became very jubilant to see the Lord." (pp.110-113)
