Roy FalkandAbstractMysticismAfter a career in telecommunications, mywife Carol Ann and I came to Mendocino, where Iresumed painting, my true artistic passion.My paintings are abstract realizations thatinvite viewers to bringtheir own narrative intothe viewing experience.I am exploring the interplayof hues and contrastswith the rhythmsand sense of motionthat they evoke in juxtapositionto one another.I depict fiction overlappingtruth, while transparency,symbol andnarrative dance togethervia paint on canvas.I approach theprocess of painting as acomponent of my spiritualpractice. When Iquietly look insidemyself I catch glimpsesof my true self, which ismanifest in my heart. Iexperience my paintingsSacred Heartemanating more from my heart center than frommy rational mind.
