84Prior permission <strong>of</strong> Bar Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>.“7A. (1) No law college or a law department <strong>of</strong> auniversity or any other institution, after the commencement <strong>of</strong> theAdvocates (Amendment) Act, 2003, shall <strong>of</strong>fer or impartinstruction in a course <strong>of</strong> study in law which will lead toenrolment as an advocate, and no student shall be admitted to anysuch course unless prior permission for starting such course hasbeen granted by the Bar Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>.Provided that any permission or approval for its affiliationgiven by the Bar Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong> under the Bar Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>Rules, prior to the commencement <strong>of</strong> the Advocates(Amendment)Act, 2003, shall be deemed to be a permission granted under thissub-section.(2) No law college or a law department <strong>of</strong> a University orany other institution shall continue to impart instructionin a course <strong>of</strong> study in law leading to enrolment as anAdvocate, and no student shall be admitted thereto if thepermission granted under sub-section (1) has beenwithdrawn by the Bar Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>India</strong>.(3) Any fees or amount by whatever named called collectedfrom any person towards admission in violation <strong>of</strong> theprovisions <strong>of</strong> sub-section (1) and (2) shall be refunded.(4) Any violation <strong>of</strong> provision <strong>of</strong> sub-sections (1) and (2)shall be an <strong>of</strong>fence punishable under section 45A.
