NOTICE TO APPLICANTS FOR PREQUALIFICATIONCollege:Project Name:Project Number(s):DistrictwidePrequalification for Structured Cabling Systems Contractors40J-5J05.05NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN on this April 30, 2010 that the Los Angeles Community CollegeDistrict, “District,” invites qualified C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractors to complete andsubmit a completed Prequalification Questionnaire for the purpose of prequalifying, based onfinancial ability and public contracting experience, to submit a bid or proposal for StructuredCabling Systems Contractors Pre-Qualification.This Request for Qualifications (RFQ) is intended to provide sufficient information for LACCDand its key decision makers to obtain qualified contractors for low voltage communicationsstructured cabling services. LACCD is in a continued growth and expansion period throughoutits 9 college campuses and seeks to contract services on a per-project basis for the installationand certification of Structured Cabling Solutions.LACCD intends to pre-qualify respondents meeting or exceeding District requirements toenhance uniformity and obtain manufacturers extended warranty. Respondents to this RFQshould have a thorough understanding of these technologies, manufacturer certificationsspanning the manufactures’ entire product offering, specified industry certifications, andsignificant references performing services in similar environments. This RFQ includes thedelivery, installation, testing, documentation and extended warranty of the Structured CablingSystems for inside and outside plant cabling systems.This RFQ is being issued to a number of companies that have indicated an interest in providingtheir qualifications for the services detailed within, and are considered to be credible potentialvendors. Those that submit their qualifications are hereafter referred to as “respondents”.This RFQ specifies LACCD qualification requirements, and invites responses for the provisionsdefined within it. Any person or entity wishing to be considered for prequalification, “Applicant,” mustsubmit a completed Prequalification Questionnaire and other information,“Prequalification Submittal,” as required by the Instructions to Applicants, that are part ofthe District’s Request for Prequalification.
