Simulator Configuration GuideAppendix A: Using LMTV with Synopsys Models$lm_dump_file() or $lai_dump_file()Use these commands to dump the memory contents of the instance inst_path into the filefilename. This works only for memory models. If the specified file already exists, it isoverwritten. Using this command eliminates the read cycles required to verify thesuccess of a test.You can reload the dumped file into a memory model using the $lm_load_file()command. The format of the dumped file is the same as the Synopsys memory imagefile format required by a memory model at initialization.Syntax$lm_dump_file ( inst_path, “filename” [,“file_type”] );$lai_dump_file ( inst_path, “filename” [,”file_type”] );Argumentsinst_pathfilenamefile_typeThe path name to the SmartModel instance whosememory information is to be dumped.The path name to the file that is to receive the dumpedmemory information from the model instance.The type of configuration file to be dumped.
