Appendix A: Using LMTV with Synopsys ModelsSimulator Configuration GuideLMTV Command-Line SwitchesLMTV command-line switches have a session-wide scope that impacts all SmartModelinstances. Notice that the +laiobj switch, used by the LAI interface, is not used in eithermode of the LMTV interface. Following are brief descriptions for each of the commandlineswitches that you can use with LMTV:+notimingchecks+[min | typ | max]delays+lmudtmsg or +laiudtmsg+lmoldstr+lmoldtrans+lmresstrDisables timing checks (for example, setup and holdtimes) and their accompanying messages. The defaultis to perform the timing checks.Specifies a single delay range for all model instances. The default is to use the delay range in the model’sDelayRange or RANGE attributes.Generates a list of the timing files loaded at simulationstartup. This is equivalent to setting the commandchannel command TraceTimeFile to ON. The default isnot to list the timing files. For more information aboutthe command channel. refer to the SmartModel LibraryUser’s Manual.Maps all model signal strengths to “strong” for alloutput events that have resistive strength. The default isto use resistive strength to reflect the true state of theSWIFT pin.Indicates that the historic style is to be used fortranscribing messages. The historic style messagecontains references only to timing version names anddoes not specify any time units. The default is thatmessages contain references to both timing versionnames and model names. Timing values are innanoseconds (ns).Disables mapping of SmartModel Library signalstrengths to “strong” strength, even if a historic modelmodel.v file (vshell) is detected. Use this switch if youwant your historic-mode design to use true resistivestrengths. This switch only works with the SWIFTinterface.270 Synopsys, Inc. October 6, 2003
