Chapter 7: Using QuickSim II with Synopsys ModelsSimulator Configuration GuideQuickSim II Command Line SwitchesWhen QuickSim II is invoked from the command line, the following switches are theonly ones recognized by SmartModels.Timing Mode SwitchUse the -timing_mode switch to set the global timing mode to minimum, maximum, ortypical. Unit delay timing mode is not currently supported. Use the following syntaxwhen setting this switch:-timing_mode { min | max | typ }Time Scale SwitchUse the -time_scale switch to adjust time values (delays and checks) to the desiredresolution by specifying the time scale in nanoseconds (ns). The default is 0.1 ns. Usethe following syntax when setting this switch:-time_scale timescaleConstraint Mode SwitchUse the -constraint_mode switch to enable or disable timing constraint checking. Thedefault is “off”. Any value other than “off” causes a model to perform constraintchecking. It will not reset the model orset internal values to the “state_value” specified.Reports the status of selected instances with the“swift_dump” parameter.Not supported by SmartModels. Use the SIGNALINSTANCE command to query a model and reportits status.Reloads any of the configuration files used by amodel, including memory image, JEDEC, MCF,SCF, and PCL command files.
