Firstly, we willshow how to develop the perception of the repulsiveness of the 32parts.When you have become skilled in discerning the 32 parts of thebody then you can take either the whole 32 parts as a group or oneindividual part as an object and develop meditation on therepulsiveness of the body. (paÊikèlamanasikŒra)Skeleton Meditation.Amongst these various possibilities we will show how to developthe meditation based on the skeleton or bones which is one of the 32parts of the body.To develop this meditation you should return to practisingmindfulness of breathing and once again establish concentration upto the fourth jhŒna. Then when your light becomes bright, brilliantand radiant discern the 32 parts of the body in yourself. Then discernthe 32 parts externally in the nearest person or being to you using thelight of concentration. Discern the 32 parts internally and externallyin this way for one or two rounds.
