She then found that that person wasa very poor and uneducated villager who having reflected on herown state of suffering had made an offering <strong>to</strong> the monk wishingfor a life as an educated woman in a large <strong>to</strong>wn.In this case ignorance is the wrong knowledge that "an educatedwoman in a large <strong>to</strong>wn" is a reality, the liking and craving for thatlife as an educated woman is craving, the attachment <strong>to</strong> that life asan educated woman is clinging. <strong>The</strong> wholesome intentions <strong>to</strong> offerfruit <strong>to</strong> a <strong>Buddhist</strong> monk are the kamma formations and the kammais the kammic force of those kamma formations.In this present life that woman is an educated woman in a large<strong>to</strong>wn in Myanmar. She was able <strong>to</strong> directly discern with rightview how the kammic force of offering of fruit in her past life hasproduced resultant five aggregates in this present life.When a medita<strong>to</strong>r is able <strong>to</strong> discern causes and effects in thisway then this knowledge is called paccaya pariggaha –Œöa orKnowledge that discerns the causes of mind and matter.Here is another example. In this case a man while searchingand discerning at the time near death found that around the time ofthe near death impulsion there were four kamma objects competingwith each other. <strong>The</strong>re was one kamma involving teaching<strong>Buddhist</strong> texts, another involving teaching dhamma, yet another
