The focus ofthe workshop was <strong>Anglo</strong> Coal’s strategy as it facesa world increasingly concerned with global warming.Attention was also given to <strong>Anglo</strong> Coal South Africa’scurrent performance across safety, health, environmentaland community parameters, and how workwithin these parameters may change.At the workshop, it was agreed that sustainabledevelopment will be integrated into ‘the way we dobusiness’ as depicted by the concept diagram (left),originally developed by the ICMM.
