Interesting speakers are part <strong>of</strong> the meetings. Annualevents include a Christmas party and a spring banquet. The <strong>Brillion</strong>Nature Center Association, Inc., a non-pr<strong>of</strong>it organization, operates andsupports the Center’s environmental education programs and maintainsthe trails. The BNC’s eight hiking trails are open to the public from 7a.m. to sunset, seven days a week.The Bloedorn-Becker-Jensen Unit 126 hosts the Legionnaire’s with anannual banquet in October at various community churches. In Decembera Christmas party is organized for junior members. The unit alsoprovides child welfare for the veteran’s children.The Auxiliary also sends gifts and needed articles to Veteran’s Hospitalslocated in the state. In May, an annual “Poppy Drive” is conducted. Our statement <strong>of</strong> purpose is “To providea safe environment for <strong>Brillion</strong>’s Youth.” The yearly goal is to provide asafe and alcohol free New Year’s Eve for children ages 12-18 or grades6-12. The club also maintainsand operates a trap, rifle, and archery range. Some <strong>of</strong> the boat landingson Round Lake and Becker Lake are also maintained.
