DC. In Albuquerque, Child Watch is being sponsored by the NationalCouncil of Negro Women. American Association of Retired Persons, Kiwanis Imernational &Coalition for Children. Youth & Families.Child Watch is designed to build a stronger voice for the needs of children. youth and families incommunities nation wide. Child Watch does this by recruiting a>mmunity leaders to participate inissue briefings on topics such as teen violence, homelessness, prenatal care, etc... and to visit localprograms which serve children. youth and families. Site visits to programs helps to make peopleaware of the real faces and stories behind the grim starUtics which haullI our country today. Sitevisits also help people to realize that we know what to do to make a difference in the lives ofchildren and families at risk for negative outcomes.
