I. Welcome and Introductions.CIDLD WATCH VISITATION PROGRAMMEETING OF COMMUNlTY COLLABORATORSJanuary 25, 1993Grace Presbyterian ChurchMINUTESA. Jane Murphy welcomed everyone and thanked Carolyn Benefiel for makingarrangements for the meeting to be held at the church. Jane also thanked JudeLanghurst for recording the minutes of the first three meetings of communitycollaborators and handling the necessary correspondence related to the meetings.B. Each person introduced him or her self by name and the organization represented.C. Jane introduced. Ellen Myers, Inter-Faith Ministries, who will serve as recorderfor the meetings of Child Watch, and Jim Garner, Sedgwick County Family andYouth Commission, and Patty Dengler, Junior League of Wichita, who will serveas co-chairs of the Child Watch Visitation Program (CWVP) in Wichita.II.Minutes.Jim Garner summarized the minutes of the January 9 meeting for those who were not atthe meeting.III.Commitment Survey.A. Commitment survey forms were distributed to those who had not yet completedthem. These need to be returned by the next meeting so that the listing ofcollaborators for the CWVP letterhead can be finalized.B. Patty said that the response so far has been good and people have been assignedto committees based on the survey responses.IV.Time Line.A. Dry Run...It was agreed at the January 9 meeting that a dry run is needed forthe CWVP. Sharon Ladin had suggested that we could do the dry run and beready to launch the program by March. After much discussion concerning SpringBreak in the schools (March 22-27), lead time needed by the target audience, theWeek of the Child, religious observances in April, the group reached a consensusthat the dry run should take place during the week of March 28.B. Launch Date.. .If the dry run occurs in March, we could run the program inApril and possibly do a second group in May. Exact dates were riot chosen since13
