Greenfield Ave., to announce the fmdings of theCDF report as they involve Wisconsin, and to outline the response of the community.The report ofthe Children's Defense Fund, a national child advocacy organization. eachyear offers one of the major barometers on the status ofour nation's children. This pressconference is being offered to give all media access to community leaders in the field Therewill be a brief press conference and many leaders will be available for additional comments.La Causa, which provides varied family services, and recently was awarded a grant fromthe Wisconsin Children's Trust Fund to develop a family resource center, will offer mediaan opportunity to photograph children being served in day care, Head Start and kindergartenprograms, and other ways.Scheduled to participate in the press conference will be: Robert Odom, executivedirector of the Social Development Commission; Tom Brophy, director of the MilwaukeeCounty Department ofHuman Services; James Marks, associate director of the MilwaukeeFoundation; Ramon Wagner, coordinator of the Child Abuse Prevention Network; DavidEspinosa, executive director ofLa Causa, Inc., and others.
