Therefore,the number of vessels that responded to assist may be greater than the actual total number of incidents.In 2001, there were a total of 6454 Maritime SAR incidents. During this time period, CCGA vessels were taskeda total of 1842 times to 1714 incidents. The CCG acknowledges the CCGA’s valuable contribution to the SARSystem.16
