Part 4 FeesFee RegulationsAll <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>University</strong> fees are subject to change. All fees are due andpayable to the Controller on the days of registration. Students must pay fees beforeregistration is accepted. Completion of arrangements with the Controller's Office forpayment from officially accepted scholarships, loan funds, grants, or contracts shall beconsidered sufficient for acceptance of registration. Fees paid after regular registrationmust be paid to the <strong>University</strong> Cashier in Mountainlair.All students are expected to register on days set apart for registration at thebeginning of each semester or summer session of the <strong>University</strong>. No student will bepermitted to register at the <strong>University</strong> after the eighth day of a semester or the fourthcalendar day of the summer sessions or a single summer session. Days are countedfrom the first day of registration.Any student failing to complete registration on regular registration days is subjectto the Late Registration Fee of $20.00.Registering students pay the fees shown in the fee charts, plus special fees anddeposits as required.No degree is conferred upon any candidate and no transcripts are issued to anystudent before payment isof the <strong>University</strong>.Itmade of all tuition, fees, and other indebtedness to any unitis the policy of <strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>University</strong> to place on restriction students who haveoutstanding debts to a unit or units of the <strong>University</strong>. The restriction may include, but isnot limited to, the withholding of a student's registration, a student's diploma, or astudent's transcript.Financial AidStudents interested in financial assistance must file a Financial Aid Form (FAF)with College Scholarship Service, Box 2700, Princeton, NJ 08540. Forms are availableat high schools, from the College Scholarship Service, or the WVU Financial AidOffice. Forms are dated for the appropriate academic year.Your Guide to Financial Aid-<strong>West</strong> <strong>Virginia</strong> <strong>University</strong> is available at the WVUFinancial Aid Offices, Mountainlair, Downtown Campus, and 104 Health SciencesCenter. The guide describes available financial aid, application procedures, andestimated educational expenses for attending WVU.Fees for Off-Campus CoursesFees for credit hours for off-campus courses are the same as those chargedstudents enrolled in on-campus courses. Off-campus students do not pay the DailyAthenaeum Fee, the Radio Station Fee, or the Mountainlair Construction Fee.
