Of these, 58 credit hours must be in upper-division coursework.You are encouraged to consult with your adviser regarding the selection ofelectives appropriate for your career interest.To establish a social work major and to qualify for graduation, you must havespent at least two semesters and have accumulated a minimum of 30 hours as anupper-division student in our social work program, or under its guidelines. Also, youmust fulfill the following: complete all required social work courses—in their propersequence—with grades of C or better, with the exception of So. Wk. 51 , which must becompleted with a B or better; maintain an overall grade-point average of 2.0 or above,and maintain a grade-point average of 2.0 or better in all upper-division social sciencecourses specifically required of the social work major. Students who are unable tomeet the performance standards for social work courses as outlined are permitted torepeat the course unsuccessfully attempted initially. If the student is unsuccessful inthe second attempt, he or she must leave the program. If a student is unsuccessful ineither So.
