The overall hygienic quality <strong>of</strong> the 60°Cprogramme is better th<strong>an</strong> the quality <strong>of</strong> the 40°C programme (ANOVA-OneWay, α = 0.05). Us<strong>in</strong>g the40°C process, the reduction on the diaper <strong>an</strong>d the dishcloth is obvious, but thebacteria are aga<strong>in</strong> spread throughout the wash<strong>in</strong>g mach<strong>in</strong>e. The result wasabout the same for Staphylococcus aureus. The 60°C wash<strong>in</strong>g process removesall bacteria, whereas the 40°C process spreads them around. No Bacillior fungi were found after wash<strong>in</strong>g at both 40°C <strong>an</strong>d 60°C <strong>an</strong>d the amounts <strong>of</strong>yeast were very low.
