M/K6/0257/2012/SE(M)SCHEDULE – ASUB:- QUOTATION – QUOTATION FOR THE WORK OF DISMANTLING OFTOWER MONITOR OF FIRE FIGHTING SYSTEM OF TUGBHARATHIYAR - REGARDING.Contract for dismantling to assess the defects in Tower Monitor <strong>of</strong> Tug BharathiyarFire Fighting System.The centre pipe <strong>of</strong> the Tower Monitor is sagging and there is oil leak <strong>of</strong> the seals at thetop portion. The contractor has to dismantle the fire fighting tower monitor completely intoindividual parts and return all the dismantled portions to the Trust.The dismantling work has to be carried out in Trust’s workshop only and shall be completedwith in four (4) days from the date <strong>of</strong> commencement .Though, there is no drawing <strong>of</strong> the Fire Monitor System a similar drawing is furnishedfor guidance <strong>of</strong> the contractor for dismantling.The approximate length <strong>of</strong> the Tower Monitor is 7 Mts.It is the responsibility <strong>of</strong> the contractor to bring all necessary tools, hydraulic pullers, stoppers,shackles, etc. required to carryout the work.Trust will provide only overhead crane, if required.DEPUTY CONSERVATOR.

<strong>CHENNAI</strong> <strong>PORT</strong> <strong>TRUST</strong>.GENERAL CONDITIONS.Applicability subject to relevance to this work1. The prices quoted shall be firm and should hold good at least for SIXTEEN WEEKSfrom the date <strong>of</strong> opening <strong>of</strong> the Quotations.2. The prices quoted should show separately the cost <strong>of</strong> equipments, works,accessories, tools, etc to be supplied along with the equipment as well as Excise duty/ Sales Tax or any other taxes, duties, insurance charges, freight / transportationcharges etc, applicable to the above supply and the rates <strong>of</strong> duties, levies and taxesshould also be indicated . The Trust is not in a position to provide Forms ‘C’ or ‘D’.The Trust does not bind itself to accept claims for extra payments for items notincluded in the quotation. Rates and total cost are to be furnished separately both inFIGURES and WORDS. All corrections should be properly attested.3. The Firm shall furnish the TNGST NO. TIN (VAT) NO. Area code and the name <strong>of</strong>Assessment circle in which registered along with the bill.4. The entire work shall be completed with four days <strong>of</strong> commencement. The work canbe commenced only after payment <strong>of</strong> Security Deposit. The Security Deposit shallbe remitted within a day <strong>of</strong> receipt <strong>of</strong> order.5. The site shall be inspected by the Firm to acquaint themselves with the nature <strong>of</strong> workinvolved.6. The rates shall be firm and not subject to fluctuation at any stage, till the completion <strong>of</strong>the Contract.7.. PAYMENT TERMS:100% payment will be made after satisfactory completion and acceptance <strong>of</strong> the work.The Tenderer shall quote the Bank Account details and PAN for the payments through ECSand also enclose a copy <strong>of</strong> cheque leaf <strong>of</strong> the firm along with the bill.For this purpose the supplier shall submit all his bills addressed to the Deputy Conservator,<strong>Chennai</strong> <strong>Port</strong> Trust.8. LIQUIDATED DAMAGES/LATE DELIVERY CHARGES.The Liquidated Damages/Late Delivery Charges shall be deducted from any amount payableto or to be payable to the contractor including encashment <strong>of</strong> Bank Guarantee or anySecurities/guarantees, if any available with the <strong>Port</strong> Trust.The maximum amount <strong>of</strong> the Liquidated Damages/Late Delivery charges shall be worked outbased on the total contract order value inclusive <strong>of</strong> all taxes and duties thereon.


In case <strong>of</strong> part/portions <strong>of</strong> the contract work order completed and taken possession by theTrust and the Trust operates/can be made for operation <strong>of</strong> the part portion order, thecalculation <strong>of</strong> Liquidated Damages will be restricted to the uncompleted value <strong>of</strong> the workorder subject to the amount <strong>of</strong> the maximum percentage prescribed for the LiquidatedDamages/Late Delivery Charges <strong>of</strong> the total value <strong>of</strong> the contract.The Liquidated Damages/Late Delivery Charges shall be 1 % <strong>of</strong> the contract value perday or part there<strong>of</strong> subject to a maximum <strong>of</strong> 10 % <strong>of</strong> the contract value.If the contract order is delayed after giving due notice, the contract order may becancelled by the competent authority with the condition that any additional expenditureincurred by the <strong>Port</strong> Trust in completing the work order will be recovered from the contractor<strong>of</strong> the cancelled contract order for non-performance/delay in the execution <strong>of</strong> the contract.9. SECURITY DEPOSIT:On receipt <strong>of</strong> order, the contracting firm should remitted within a day Security Depositequivalent to 5% <strong>of</strong> the total contract price in cash or by D.D. 100% <strong>of</strong> the S.D. will bereleased after satisfactory completion <strong>of</strong> the work <strong>of</strong> equipment and acceptance <strong>of</strong>the same.10. The contractor should indemnify the Trust against any liability <strong>of</strong> compensation due to injury tohis own workmen or to other persons inside Harbour or while execution <strong>of</strong> the work and forany damage to the property and should certify to the Police and Deputy Conservator forserious accidents.11. The Contractor should comply with all labour enactments <strong>of</strong> the State and CentralGovernments and safety precautions wherever applicable and hold the Boardblameless for any infringements and consequence there<strong>of</strong>.12. Neither anyone <strong>of</strong> the Proprietors / Partners, nor employees <strong>of</strong> the contracting firmshould have held any Class I post under the Board prior to retirement and joined thefirm within two years <strong>of</strong> retirement without obtaining permission <strong>of</strong> the Board /Chairman for the same. Such contract is liable for termination for violation <strong>of</strong> thiscondition.13. Entry to the Harbour for individuals and vehicles is regulated by issue <strong>of</strong> passes bytheCommandant C.I.S.F.14. The Deputy Conservator reserves the right to award any portion <strong>of</strong> the work or to dropthe work, altogether at his discretion without assigning any reasons.15. If the item is on your DGS & D Rate Contract the same should be mentioned. If notplease state that the item does not come under Rate Contract16. The details <strong>of</strong> orders under execution in the Trust shall be furnished by thefirm.17. The firm shall submit the declaration <strong>of</strong> number <strong>of</strong> labourers / workers engaged for theabove work in the standard Pr<strong>of</strong>orma, which can be obtained from this <strong>of</strong>ficealongwith the order.DEPUTY CONSERVATOR.<strong>CHENNAI</strong> <strong>PORT</strong> <strong>TRUST</strong>.
