<strong>Skyline</strong> <strong>College</strong> Students Shine at SACNAS Once AgainAt the Society for the Advancement of Native Americans and Chicanos in Science (SACNAS)Convention on <strong>October</strong> 11-14, <strong>2012</strong>, 16 <strong>Skyline</strong> <strong>College</strong> students presented their originalscientific research alongside students from University of Texas, Princeton University, YaleUniversity, University of California, University of Vermont, Stanford University, and manyother universities. The conference was held in Seattle and sponsored by the University ofWashington.Papers were selected for the conference in a competitive judging from abstracts submitted inJune. <strong>Skyline</strong>’s students started their research in last spring in BIOL 230 or BIOL 690 andcontinued through the summer in BIOL 690. Stephen Fredricks worked with the students toregister and prepare them for presenting at a national conference.
