Eachevent was a huge success and enjoyedby all.Remember, grades 3­5 will be taking… Paxtonia’s attendance rate thusfar this year is outstanding!the PSSA Reading and Math tests March16 – 23 rd ; 5 th grade will be taking thePSSA Writing test March 28 – 30; and4 th grade will be taking the PSSAScience test April 4 – 5. No EducationalTrip requests will be approved duringthe PSSA testing dates.Sometimes you might wonder whythe district is so “fussy” aboutattendance (requiring notes, phonecalls, etc.)? The answer is because wehave to be! The Federal mandate ofthe “No Child Left Behind” law centerson academic achievement and schoolattendance. Just as a school canreceive punitive sanctions for poorachievement, the same can occur forpoor attendance rates. Please keepyour child in school unless they aretruly sick and provide notes and doctorexcuses when required. Paxtonia’sattendance rate thus far this year isoutstanding!We value your children and it is aprivilege to teach them. The children continue toenjoy After School Clubs. Thanks to KimBingo Thank Youingo night was a huge success! WeB had over 400 people attend bothnights. We want to thank everyone onthe Bingo committee for their time andhard work. Many thanks to our sponsors,Hershey Company, Avon­Deb Rose,Olivia's Tea Room and ABC Bowling. Weappreciate their support! Amy and ISt. Clair, Karen Parody and SusanJohnson for organizing this six weekevent. A big thank you to the Bingochairmen, Karen Parody and Amy Lingleand the volunteers who worked on thistwo night event to make it a success. Itwas a fun event! Thank you to JulieMarolf and Karen Bloom for organizinganother successful Ice Skating Party andthanks to the volunteers who help themrun the event ­­ fun was had by all!Sub Sale Fundraiser Coming Soon!ark your calendars! The Sub SaleM Fundraiser paperwork will becoming home in your child(ren)’sbackpacks on Friday, February 18 th andTuesday, February 22 nd . If you don’t seeit, please ask your child to be sure tobring it home – this is very important.We are needing to raise a minimum of$6,000 from this event.Subs will be sold for $5.50 each andpretzel rolls will be $4.50 each. Theseare great for an easy dinner or forpacked lunches at the office or school.There will be a suggested sales target foreach family.Don’t want to sell? A suggesteddonation amount will be offered as well.All donations are 100% tax deductibleand will be acknowledged with aDonation Receipt for your tax records.Every child will receive a packet asthere are two different delivery datesdepending on the grade level of thechild.For Kindergarten through 2nd grade,the ending sale date will be March 4 thwith subs being available for pick­up atCharlton Church on March 15 th from 3:30– 6:00 pm.For grades 3rd through 5th orders willhave to be turned in by March 11 th andsubs will be available for pick­up atCharlton Church on March 22 nd from3:30 – 6:00 pm. More details and informationwill be in your child’s packets.Paxtonia Elementary PTA sincerelyappreciates your support of this veryimportant fundraiser!would also like to thank everyone whohas been involved with Bingo for the pastfive years.
