Cylinders within the drill guides transferthe plan by guiding the drill in the exact location and orientation, as defined in the software.A SurgiGuide is the union of two components: the guiding cylinders and the contact surface.The contact surface fits either on an element of a patient’s jaw (i.e. the bone, the teeth) or onthe patient’s gums. Depending on your planned implant size and drill diameters, two or moreconsecutive SurgiGuide migth be optimal. Due to the complex shape of the bone and teeth,the fit of the SurgiGuide is very unique and stable. This SurgiGuide is made using astereolithography process and is custom manufactured for each patient.What is SAFE System?SAFE stands for Secure, Accurate, Flexible and Ergonomic implant placement. The SAFESystem offers the surgeon a series of tools/components for just this purpose. It is used incombination with SurgiGuide for an accurate transfer of an implant planning (cf. In addition, traditional templates only guide drilling. Implant placementis still done by hand, without guidance. The objective of the SAFE System is to simplifyimplant delivery to the jaw of the patient, while increasing the accuracy and predictability ofthe post-operative implant positions.
