2. Diameter of the cylindersConfirm the inner diameters of the drilling cylinders.Insert each drill, based on the requested drilling sequence, into the cylinders of thecustomized SurgiGuide. The inner diameters of the stainless steel cylinders are 0.1 to 0.3 mm larger than thediameters of the cutting surface of the drills. The deviation can be more significant when tapered/bevelled drills are used.Note: If you decide to use a drill from a different implant manufacturer than that which youspecified in your SurgiGuide Order Form, be sure that it has the same diameter. Do NOT usea smaller diameter drill than specified for a drill guide cylinder as the angle deviation couldbecome unacceptably large.3. Decontamination / sterilizationDecontamination: use a disinfectant (i.e. chlorhexidine, betadine) or a sterilizing agent that isapproved for dental applications (check with the legal regulations in your country). Follow therecommendations of the manufacturer for disinfection or sterilization as you would for otherclinical devices.SurgiGuide can be sterilized using γ-irradiation or EtO (conform EN552 and EN 556respectively) or any other low temperature method (that conforms to the legal regulations inyour country). Do not autoclave or use any type of dry/steam heat sterilization.Surgical Procedure1.
