Both pre-operative and surgical actions are mentioned.Following these guidelines will improve the surgical results.IntroductionBone-supported SurgiGuide are completely based on information from CT data. During thescanning, the position of the patient should be such as to avoid artefacts on bone level.For partially edentulous patients, with only one or a few missing teeth, the tooth-supportedSurgiGuide might be an alternative.Pre-operative actions1. Fit of the SurgiGuideVerify the fit of the SurgiGuide by carefully checking its positioning on the stereolithographicmodel.By evaluating various positions, a unique and stable fit can be determined. Note the distancebetween the SurgiGuide and any remaining teeth, as well as other important landmarks, suchas the mental foramen.Once the proper fit is determined, clinically evaluate the position and orientation of the drillingcylinders. During surgery, the cylinders within the SurgiGuide will transfer the pre-operativetreatment plan.
