Converting raw data to 3D informationYour CT or Cone beam scan data need to be sent from the radiology site to Materialise or to aSimPlant Master site nearby. Materialise or the Master site will convert the CT or Cone beamscan data into a SimPlant file: a file that contains reformatted images in 2D and an insightful 3Drepresentation of your patient’s anatomy.Your Master site nearbyIf you don’t know any SimPlant Master sites in the neighbourhood, please contact your localMaterialise office. We will be happy to refer you to a Master site nearby or to do the conversionfor you.You convert your CT scan data with SimPlant ProIf you have SimPlant Pro, you can do the conversions yourself! It means you can read in datastraight from the scanner, and convert the axial images to cross-sectional images and 3Drepresentations of your patient’s anatomy. A tutorial on how to convert axial CT data can befound in SimPlant’s help files, on our website (http://www.SimPlant.com) and on the SimPlantcd.Are you interested in doing the conversion yourself?
