REGENTS’ POLICY MANUALSECTION 5—UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY5.10—AMERICAN INDIAN/ALASKAN NATIVEMEMBERSHIP VERIFICATION POLICYSelected University resources, programs, activities, and services are made available and allocated tostudents based upon specific criteria of tribal affiliation. To ensure these resources are utilized in themost effective manner and for the students to whom they are committed, it is the policy of the Universityto require those students who wish to use those services, programs, activities, and resources committed toAmerican Indians/Alaskan Natives, to verify their affiliation with one of the various Native Americantribes, nations, pueblos, bands, and villages that are sovereign entities that have as their sovereign rightthe ability to determine their membership. Students enrolled at the Health Sciences Center are required to show proof of health insuranceupon enrollment.
