REGENTS’ POLICY MANUALSECTION 3—GENERAL POLICIES1) Oversee implementation <strong>of</strong> the Program in all areas designated by the Board <strong>of</strong>Regents and President pursuant to the time line established in consultation with theOffice <strong>of</strong> Legal Counsel.2) Work with University <strong>of</strong>ficers, department chairs, and employees to prevent, detect,and respond appropriately to compliance issues.3) Identify University functions and routine business practices and activities requiringcompliance training and monitoring.4) Establish procedures to make available the appropriate portions <strong>of</strong> this Program andany amendments thereto to all affected University employees.5) Establish a reporting system with University employees who have complianceresponsibilities.6) Serve as a resource for the University on matters <strong>of</strong> compliance.7) Perform routine, periodic compliance reviews, or arrange for such reviews, <strong>of</strong>high-risk areas.8) Monitor, in conjunction with the Office <strong>of</strong> Legal Counsel, developments and changesin statutes, court rulings, rules, and regulations that affect compliance requirements;bring them to the attention <strong>of</strong> the appropriate <strong>of</strong>ficers and employees; and assist withremedial activities when appropriate.9) Make recommendations, as needed, to University departments regarding theircompliance efforts.10) Implement systems to ensure that all University employees are adequately informed<strong>of</strong> their responsibilities under the Program.11) Establish a 24-hour-a-day hotline through which University employees can makeanonymous and confidential reports and inquiries.12) Maintain records related to the Program.13) Review and periodically propose revisions to the Program to meet changes in theUniversity's needs and in the business and regulatory environment.14) Submit periodic reports to the Office <strong>of</strong> Legal Counsel regarding complianceactivities.15) Conduct investigations in coordination with the applicable department or University<strong>of</strong>ficer as needed and act on compliance related matters. The Director <strong>of</strong> Compliancewill notify the appropriate University <strong>of</strong>ficer, in addition to the Office <strong>of</strong> LegalCounsel, prior to initiating any investigation.16) Monitor and respond to any questions, concerns, and reports <strong>of</strong> possible violationsreported through any means.THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA 216
