REGENTS’ POLICY MANUALSECTION 3—GENERAL POLICIES3.4.5—UNIVERSITY NAME, LOGOS, OTHER IDENTIFYING MARKS, SEAL, ANDCOAT OF ARMSUNIVERSITY NAME, LOGOS, OTHER IDENTIFYING MARKS, AND SEALA. NON-COMMERCIAL USE• University-related organizations, foundations, associations, and groups shall obtain thewritten approval <strong>of</strong> the Vice President for Public Affairs before using the name <strong>of</strong> theUniversity or logos and other identifying marks which are registered by the University. Thepolicy applies to letters <strong>of</strong> solicitation, promotional items, and other uses <strong>of</strong> the Universityname, logos, and other identifying marks. Such uses may not state or imply, directly orindirectly, that the products or services <strong>of</strong> or activities sponsored by such University-relatedentities are endorsed, sponsored, or approved by the University.• All internal University departments or divisions shall obtain the prior written approval <strong>of</strong> theVice President for Public Affairs before using the name <strong>of</strong> the University or logos or otheridentifying marks that are registered by the University for matters other than <strong>of</strong>ficialUniversity business.B. COMMERCIAL USE• The University’s name or logos and other identifying marks registered by the University maybe used for commercial purposes provided appropriate authorization is granted by theUniversity’s commercial licensing agent.
