REGENTS’ POLICY MANUALSECTION 2—ACADEMICSThe Sales Division shall function as a self-supporting auxiliary enterprise, receiving no budgetedappropriation but being authorized to maintain an advance <strong>of</strong> working capital to support its extendedbusiness cycle. The source <strong>of</strong> funds shall be agency special pooled cash. The advance <strong>of</strong> working capitalmust be fully secured by the value <strong>of</strong> The University <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma Press’s accounts receivable and bookinventory.Except for the authorized advance <strong>of</strong> working capital, the Sales Division shall be self-sustaining at alltimes; and it shall receive all moneys, credits, and funds derived from the marketing and sales <strong>of</strong> allbooks, pamphlets, magazines, periodicals, and other works and services authorized by the Director; andits authority, powers, and functions shall be to arrange for, supervise, contract for, and bear the expense <strong>of</strong>all binding, billing, shipping, copyrighting, advertising, selling, storing, paying <strong>of</strong> commissions androyalties, and all other matters relating to the marketing and distributing <strong>of</strong> all publications published,handled, or marketed by The University <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma Press, together with the meeting <strong>of</strong> all costs <strong>of</strong>production and manufacturing except those borne by the Publishing Division in the performance <strong>of</strong> itsfunctions.The Controller <strong>of</strong> the University shall receive and account for the disbursement <strong>of</strong> all funds, moneys,and credits received by all divisions <strong>of</strong> The University <strong>of</strong> Oklahoma Press.(RM, 6-14-45, p. 1818; 5-10-73, p. 12157; 6-11-80, p. 16005; 6-15-89, pp. 21219-<strong>22</strong>; 3-29-00, p.26909; 1-27-<strong>2004</strong>, p. 28924)THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA 1<strong>23</strong>
