Индастриал Технолоджис www.industrial‐technologies.com.ua +38 044 498 21 94Mounting Procedure and MaintenanceMounting the <strong>LM</strong> <strong>Guide</strong>[Procedure for Assembling Model HR]The following procedure is recommended forassembling model HR.(1) Remove burr or knots from the <strong>LM</strong> railmounting surface of the base using an oilstone.(Fig.17)(2) Use a small vice to press the two <strong>LM</strong> rails tothe base so that they closely contact thereference surface, then tighten the mountingbolts to the recommended torque (seeA1-332). (Fig.18)a. Check if any of the bolts has a sinking.b. Use a torque wrench to tighten the boltsin order from the center to both ends.(3) Mount the <strong>LM</strong> blocks on the table, theninstall them onto the <strong>LM</strong> rails. Be sure themounting bolts for the <strong>LM</strong> blocks are temporarilyfastened.(4) Tighten the clearance adjustment bolt alternatelyto adjust the clearance.If a relatively large preload is applied inorder to achieve high rigidity, control thetightening torque or the rolling resistance.a. It is preferable to use three clearanceadjustment bolts for each <strong>LM</strong> block asshown in Fig.19.b. To obtain a favorable result of the clearanceadjustment, set the tighteningtorque of the two outside screws atapprox. 90% of that of the enter screw.(5) Secure each <strong>LM</strong> block by gradually tighteningthe two <strong>LM</strong> block mounting bolts, whichhave temporarily been fastened, while slidingthe table.
