Plexus Box and Connectivity Options<br />
Plexus Boxes for Training and Conference Tables are covered power and communications units mounted flush into the table top, offering a<br />
clean aesthetic. Plexus Boxes are installed in the field and fit in pre-configured cutout locations in Propeller table tops. Various cutout<br />
locations are available, see specific products pages for more information.<br />
Plexus Box types and sizes:<br />
Plexus Boxes are available in two lengths, medium and jumbo.<br />
Medium boxes are also available in a double width format.<br />
Medium Box (Conference and training tables)<br />

Medium (10�) Shallow Plexus Box: offers room for two<br />
duplex power outlets with surge protector, one<br />
quadruple communication outlet and two additional<br />

1. Determine power and data<br />
requirements and suitable box size<br />
2. Specify table type with required<br />

5. Specify infeed legs and finish<br />
(empty and pre-wired versions only).<br />
6. Specify jumper cables (pre-wired<br />

Medium (10�) Shallow Plexus Box: offers room for four<br />
duplex power outlets with surge protector, two<br />
quadruple communications outlets and four additional<br />
data plates.<br />
Performance<br />
Power options:<br />
The Plexus Box is a four-circuit,<br />
eight-wire power distribution<br />
system. It includes two 20-amp<br />
conveniene circuits (A,B), with<br />
neutral and ground and two<br />
protected 20-amp circuits (X,Y)<br />
with separate neutral and ground.<br />
All power outlets are preconfigured<br />
to avoid circuit overload. If several<br />
Plexus Boxes are connected<br />
together, alternate configurations A<br />
& B for optimal load distribution.<br />
All power and communication<br />
wiring is completely separated by<br />
metal septum to avoid interference.<br />
UL listed product. Medium cordset<br />
comprises a single electrical circuit.<br />
Additional data options are<br />
available through CPD or can be<br />
installed in the field by a licensed<br />
data contractor.<br />

Communication options:<br />
The Plexus Box is available with<br />
either RJ11 jacks to be connected to<br />
modular cables or with Category 5E<br />
outlet. Category 5E jacks apply for<br />
RJ45 and Category 5<br />
communication wiring. Room for<br />
two additional data plates in<br />
medium box which can be wired by<br />
<strong>Knoll</strong> through CPD or installed in<br />
the field by a licensed data<br />
contractor.<br />
Shallow Plexus Box:<br />
Fabricated steel body in powder<br />
coat or anodized finish. Lid is<br />
extruded aluminum in anodized<br />
finish.<br />
Jumbo (20�) Plexus Box; offers room for four<br />
duplex power outlets with surge protector and two<br />
quadruple communications outlets<br />
Power and communications outlets<br />
are positioned under a hinged lid to<br />
allow access. The extruded<br />
aluminum lid features a brush seal<br />
allowing wires to pass when lid is<br />
closed. On the inside, power and<br />
communication outlets are placed<br />
on a 60° angle.<br />
Shallow Plexus Boxes are also<br />
available in a double width format<br />
for medium box.
