PARADE 2010 – St. Charles, Illinois continued from pg 16One thing I enjoy about the Parade is that the locationvaries from year to year. This year, in close proximityto Chicago, our family headed off to the city in searchof the Sears (sorry, “Willis”) tower and authentic deepdish pizza. We had a water taxi ride and saw the sightsafter a long train ride, and were happy we did not haveto take the train to work every day. Chicago really is abeautiful city, with the Lake Michigan shore reachingright into the heart of downtown. We could only stayone day, as loading up from the Concours and gettingready to leave after the Tech Quiz was the priority inorder to get home in time. We came back in time tosee the Art Show, which is really a neat and varieddisplay that we all really enjoyed. I wish more peoplewould share their artistic talents with us! The final eventfor me was the Tech Quiz. I had not taken the Techquiz since the 1988 Colorado Parade, so that was anadventure and I was surprised at the number of peoplein the room, but getting 2nd place in my group withouta clue what a study was a surprising result!
