Statement of ResponsibilityStatement of ResponsibilityThe Management is responsible for preparing the financialstatements for the financial year. These give a true and fair viewof the state of affairs of <strong>UniCredit</strong> <strong>Banka</strong> <strong>Slovenija</strong> d.d. as of theend of the financial year and of the profit or loss and cash flowfor that year. The financial statements are prepared on a goingconcernbasis.In preparing the financial statements in annual report for the yearended 31 December 2009, the management has used appropriateaccounting policies, consistently applied and supported them byreasonable and prudent judgments and estimates, and ensuredthat all accounting standards which they consider significant havebeen followed.The Management has the responsibility for ensuring that theBank keeps accounting records which disclose with reasonableaccuracy the Bank’s financial position and which enable themanagement to ensure that the financial statements comply inall material respects with the regulations of the Government ofthe Republic of Slovenia, the Central Bank of Slovenia and theInternational Financial Reporting Standards as adopted by the EU.The Management also has a general responsibility to take suchsteps as are reasonably required to safeguard the assets of theBank and to prevent and detect any fraud and other irregularities.On behalf of the ManagementDr. France ArharChairmanof the Management BoardJanko Medja, MBAMemberof the Management BoardFrancesco VercesiMemberof the Management BoardLjubljana, March 2010<strong>UniCredit</strong> Bank · 2009 Annual Report 161
