The other, which seems like anattempt on the part of theologians socalled to accept evolution as a fact onlyin a modified sense, claiming that Adamwas not evolved from the lower animals,but from lower races of men, issaid to be based on the dissimilarity oflanguages, because of which it is claimedmankind could not have sprung fromone common parentage, and that theCaucasian or European, the highesttype of man, only is the offspring ofAdam. This they endeavor to makemore plausible by misapplying thepromise of God to Abraham, "In theeand in thy seed shall all the families ofthe earth be blessed" (Gen. 28:14), asbeing fulfilled in the civilizing influenceexerted by this so-called Adamic seedover the rest of mankind. But that thispromise could have no fulfillment whateverthrough men in the flesh, is conclusivelyshown by that great theologianwho never assumed the titles of Doctorof Divinity or Reverend.Paul says, To Abraham and his seedwere the promises made;...he saithnot, and to seeds, as of many; but as ofone...which is Christ....Andif ye be Christ's then are ye Abraham'sseed, and heirs according to the promise,
