the re-engrafting of the original branches will take place. Thesenatural branches which for so long have seemed as thoroughly castoff of God as the Gentiles appeared to be previously, shall begrafted in again, and shall be sharers again of the richness of theroot-promise, though they are and always will be, natural or humanbranches, while the overcoming Church selected during theChristian age will have secured the choicest portion of that samepromise. (Rom. 11:7,8.) Thus the two sets of branches, or twoseeds--natural and spiritual-- come out of the ONE ROOTPROMISE made to Abraham, and together, though in very differentways, these two seeds become instrumentalities in blessing all thefamilies of the earth under the provisions of the New Covenantmediated and ratified by the man Christ Jesus, when he gavehimself a ransom for all who were condemned to death under theoriginal covenant in Eden.It will be perceived, then, that the blessing of the World under theNew Covenant mediated and ratified eighteen centuries ago waitsfor the full development of the "Seeds" of Abraham, The spiritualseed, Christ (Gal. 3:29) and the natural seed developed previously,to which shall be added the broken-off branches of the same rootwho, as the Day Dawns, shall not continue in unbelief, and thus andthen the blessing shall spread to all the families of earth.R793 : page 8====================NOT WITH OBSERVATION."And as it was in the days of Noah so shall it be also in the daysof the Son of man. They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage....Even thus shall it be in the day whenthe Son of man is revealed." Luke 17:26-30.We once read this passage as though the ordinary affairs of lifewould be condemned as crimes in the day of the Lord's presence. But the above words were occasioned by the demand of thePharisees as to when the kingdom of God should come, and implythat so unobserved would be the incoming of that kingdom that theworld would know nothing of his presence for a time, and buying, selling, eating and drinking, etc., would go on without interruption. He would not come as an earthly conqueror comes, with chariotsand horses and armies with banners flying, and all the pomp of war.Nor would His heralds proclaim his presence in the "desert," or inthe "secret chambers" of one organization or another, doing manywondrous works. Neither shall a great invisible trumpet sound outso loudly as to be heard over all the earth, and causing graves toopen, rocks to rend and mountains to shake, be the signal of hiscoming. If he came in any way like these, his approach would beobserved, and it would not be true that "The kingdom of Godcometh not with observation," and it would be hard to deceive thecommonest observer with regard to it--much less "the elect."
