Matt. 13:16,17.Their privilege to hear from Jesus'lips "dark sayings" and "parables"was great, but how much greater is thepresent privilege of having the Mastergird himself and cause us to sit down tomeat and come forth to serve us (Luke 12:37),disclosing to us the mystery hidfrom ages and generations, and expoundingto us his parables and darksayings. Truly, the bright shining ofthe present one shall not only consumeand destroy Babylon and all other systemsof error which enslave the redeemed,but also enlightens, cheers andrefreshes all in harmony with truth.Now, as at the first advent, those whomost quickly conform heart and life toJesus' teachings will be soonest andmost blessed, while those who like thePharisees will not see, but on the contrarypervert the truths now due andoppose them, shall have their portionwith the hypocrites in the fire of troublenow kindling.The words of inspiration now applicableare, "Be wise now therefore, Oye kings, be instructed ye judges of theearth. Serve the Lord with fear, andrejoice before him with trembling. Kissthe Son lest he be angry, and ye perishfrom the way when his anger is kindledbut a little. Blessed are all they that
