Eph.4:22-32. Here, among other things, it is said, "Let him that stolesteal no more." But that is not all. He must give back that which hestole. "When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die, if he turnfrom his sin, and do that which is lawful and right; if the wickedrestore the pledge, give again that he had robbed, walk in thestatutes of life, without committing iniquity; he shall surely live, heshall not die." Eze. 33:14,15. "Then it shall be because he hathsinned, and is guilty, that he shall restore that which he tookviolently away, or the thing which he hath deceitfully gotten, or thatwhich was delivered him to keep, or the lost thing which he found,or all that about which he hath sworn falsely; he shall even restoreit in the principal, and shall add the fifth part more thereto, and giveit unto him to whom it appertaineth, in the day of his trespassoffering. ...And the priest shall make an atonement for him beforethe Lord, and it shall be f<strong>org</strong>iven him." Lev. 6:4-7. Such are workswhich show amendment of life. Such show that the heart has beentouched, and wishes to stand right with God and man. Godlysorrow for the wrong, turning from the wrong, and then, as far aspossible, making the wrong right--that is repentance.--Sel.====================
