The checklists can be used for helping with planningas well as to demonstrate later on that the planning phase was carefully <strong>com</strong>pleted.When engineering or starting up the system, the user can fill out a checklist for each of thesafety-related input channels used in the system to verify the requirements to be met. Thisis the only way to ensure that all requirements were considered and clearly recorded.
