Merchandise ReturnUse this function to return (credit) merchandise inside or outside of a sale.Touch MDSE RETURN, and then enter the item to be returned.Discounts/Coupons/SurchargesThe % (percentage) key is programmable and may be set up to handle a variety of discounts,surcharges or coupons. Up to 10 keys are available, each can:• Apply to a Sale or an Item,• Accept an amount entry or calculate a percentage,• Be positive (surcharge) or negative (discount),• Be open or preset (preset may be price or percentage, depending upon othersetup),• Calculate taxes before or after the discount is applied,• Allow the discount to reduce the food stamp subtotal,• Allow the “do it” subtotal discount function,• Enforce validation after the % key function,• If the % key is preset at a set percentage, allow override of the percentage, or toallow override of the percentage in ‘X’ mode only,• If the % key is an item discount/surcharge function, net the item total or not,• If the % key is a subtotal amount function (vendor coupon), allow multiplecoupons without pressing subtotal or allow only one coupon.Sale (Subtotal) DiscountsTo deduct an open percentage discount from a sale (or override a preset percentage):1.
