The emphasis and focus is on orthopaedic healthcare.PROGRAM OVERVIEWThe MOPA degree is a two-year program that combines one (1) year <strong>of</strong> classroom/online learning withone (1) full-year <strong>of</strong> orthopaedic-specific clinical rotations. Graduates <strong>of</strong> the program will be eligible to sit<strong>for</strong> boards conducted by the National Board <strong>for</strong> Certification <strong>of</strong> Orthopaedic Physician Assistants(NBCOPA). All charges are subject to change. <strong>St</strong>udent fees, textbooks, pr<strong>of</strong>essionalfees, health insurance, supplies and lab wear, are additional charges. These extra additional costs areexpected to be approximately $5,000 (<strong>for</strong> each program) but are subject to change.Candidates are required to submit a $500 deposit when notified <strong>of</strong> acceptance into a program. Thisdeposit is deducted from the first trimester tuition balance. If the <strong>University</strong> receives notification <strong>of</strong>withdrawal prior to the start <strong>of</strong> classes, $300 <strong>of</strong> the deposit will be refunded. The remaining balance <strong>for</strong>the first trimester is due on registration day.Campus Access FeeOPA students will be assessed a campus access fee <strong>of</strong> $85.00 each term. This includes campus access,wellness, and portal fees.
