You have selected an outstanding program from which to receive your physical therapy education.This program abides by the standards <strong>of</strong> the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education(CAPTE). It is in fact an expansion <strong>of</strong> our campus program; same content, but different method <strong>of</strong>delivery.Each <strong>of</strong> your faculty members has made, and will continue to make, a difference in physical therapyeducation and practice. This is a caring faculty. They will work with you to help you become competentclinicians and pr<strong>of</strong>essionals and assist you when you may have questions or difficulty understanding thematerial, and staff who will be there with you every step <strong>of</strong> the way to facilitate the administrativeprocess. In addition, each student will be assigned an advisor who will have the responsibility <strong>of</strong> makingsure that you are counseled in regard to academic affairs and pr<strong>of</strong>essional development.As part <strong>of</strong> your educational program, you will be taking most <strong>of</strong> your courses online. This handbook isdesigned to prepare you <strong>for</strong> that experience. We know you will find your online education program bothrewarding and focused on your needs as a learner. With the advent <strong>of</strong> online education at the <strong>University</strong><strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Augustine</strong>-Flex, learning is now anytime, anywhere and student focused.
