Entry-level SectionSTUDENT SERVICESTuition and FeesSee pages 7-9 <strong>for</strong> Tuition and Fees. All charges are subject to change. <strong>St</strong>udent fees, textbooks,pr<strong>of</strong>essional fees, health insurance, supplies and lab wear, will be extra. These extra additional costs areexpected to be approximately $5,000 <strong>for</strong> each program but are subject to change.Candidates are required to submit a $500 deposit when notified <strong>of</strong> acceptance into a program. Thisdeposit is deducted from the first trimester tuition balance. If the <strong>University</strong> receives notification <strong>of</strong>withdrawal no later than 60 days be<strong>for</strong>e the start <strong>of</strong> classes, a partial refund <strong>of</strong> the deposit will be returnedto the student (see Refund policy). All tuition is payable in full on the registration date established <strong>for</strong> theapplicable trimester. The remaining balance <strong>for</strong> the first trimester tuition is due on registration day.After the first trimester, any tuition balance not paid at the time <strong>of</strong> trimester registration will receive a10% late penalty. Both tuition and late penalty must be paid in full no later than the close <strong>of</strong> business onthe last day <strong>of</strong> the week in which classes begin. <strong>St</strong>udents will be removed from class after this point if notpaid in full. The only exception is <strong>for</strong> students whose financial aid has been delayed through no fault <strong>of</strong>their own.Campus Access FeeEach student at the Florida and Cali<strong>for</strong>nia campuses is assessed a $160.00 campus access fee every term.The fee includes the campus access, wellness and portal access fees. Each student at the Texas campus isassessed a $60.00 campus access fee every term. The fee includes the campus access, and portal accessfees. This fee is subject to change. (For Flex and MOPA Tuition and Fees see individual sections).Payments<strong>St</strong>udents may pay tuition and fees <strong>for</strong> each trimester either by personal check, cash, or major credit card(VISA and/or MASTERCARD). Credit cards can be used at registration, or a credit card authorization<strong>for</strong>m can be provided to the accounting <strong>of</strong>fice prior to registration and allows the university toautomatically charge the student’s credit card each term. The credit card authorization <strong>for</strong>m can be foundin the myUSA portal Admissions tab. Loan disbursements <strong>for</strong> existing loan programs are also accepted.The use <strong>of</strong> credit cards to pay <strong>for</strong> tuition will only be accepted when a current loan disbursement is notbeing utilized. <strong>St</strong>udents who wish to pay tuition via credit card, who have received a current loandisbursement, need to secure a cash advance check issued by VISA and/or MASTERCARD. All personalchecks accepted in payment <strong>of</strong> tuition will be processed twice. Once upon receipt, and, if not cleared,once more, if such check is not approved <strong>for</strong> payment by the bank because <strong>of</strong> insufficient funds or othercircumstances which do not allow clearance, it will be returned to the issuer along with a $30 servicecharge imposed by the <strong>University</strong> to cover handling and service fees. This service charge will be imposedeach time the check is not approved <strong>for</strong> payment by the bank. THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THISPOLICY. Any subsequent tuition payments made by the student <strong>for</strong> the trimester in question must bemade in the <strong>for</strong>m <strong>of</strong> a certified check or bank money order be<strong>for</strong>e acceptance by the <strong>University</strong>.All tuition payments will be deducted directly from a current loan disbursement (be<strong>for</strong>e distribution tostudents). Any excess loan proceeds after tuition and fees will be refunded to the student after thebeginning <strong>of</strong> each trimester.Full-time/Part-time <strong>St</strong>atus<strong>St</strong>udents are considered full-time if they are taking twelve (12) credit hours or more. <strong>St</strong>udents taking lessthan twelve (12) credit hours are considered part-time and tuition will be calculated by the credit hour.
