The Accrediting Commission <strong>of</strong> the Distance Education and Training Councilis listed by the U.S. Department <strong>of</strong> Education as a nationally recognized accrediting agency, and is arecognized member <strong>of</strong> the Council <strong>for</strong> Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). This nationalaccreditation helps ensure that the school has been carefully evaluated and has met nationally recognizedstandards <strong>of</strong> education. The Flexible Doctor <strong>of</strong> Physical Therapyprogram was accredited by CAPTE in October 2004. The DPT expansion program in San Marcos, CAwas accredited in April 2007. The <strong>University</strong>’s Doctor <strong>of</strong> Physical Therapy programs were re-accreditedin November 2011. The Flex MOTprogram received approval from ACOTE in May <strong>of</strong> <strong>2012</strong>. Graduates take the certification examinationadministered by the National Board <strong>for</strong> Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). After successfulcompletion <strong>of</strong> this exam the individual will be an Occupational Therapist (OTR). In addition, most statesrequire licensure to practice. <strong>St</strong>ate licenses are usually based on this NBCOT certification. A felonyconviction may affect a graduate's ability to sit <strong>for</strong> the NBCOT examination or attain state licensure. The Cali<strong>for</strong>nia campus location is comprised <strong>of</strong> three buildings, housingover 76,000 square feet <strong>of</strong> state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art laboratories, classrooms, library, a student wellness center andstudent areas.The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Augustine</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Sciences</strong>’ Florida Campus is located at 1 <strong>University</strong> Blvd., <strong>St</strong>.<strong>Augustine</strong>, FL 32086 on a twenty-six acre campus. In August, 2007 a new academic building that housesthe classrooms, labs, library, clinics and a student wellness center was opened. It features 75,000 squarefeet <strong>of</strong> educational space, eight (8) classrooms and five (5) laboratories.The <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Augustine</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Sciences</strong>’ Texas campus is located at 5401 La Crosse Ave.,Austin, TX 78739.
