You have selected an outstanding program from which to receive your occupational and/or physicaltherapy education.Each <strong>of</strong> your faculty members has made, and will continue to make, a difference in occupational andphysical therapy education and practice. This is a caring faculty. They will work with you to help youbecome competent clinicians and pr<strong>of</strong>essionals. In addition, each student will be assigned an advisor whowill have the responsibility <strong>of</strong> making sure that you are counseled in regard to academic affairs andpr<strong>of</strong>essional development.Our programs abide by the standards <strong>of</strong> the Accreditation Council in Occupational Therapy Education(ACOTE) and the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). As thenation’s first proprietary school <strong>of</strong> occupational and physical therapy, we are unique. Our dynamic,integrated curricula, one <strong>of</strong> the most interdisciplinary in the nation, is designed to ensure that occupationaland physical therapists learn together and practice together to more effectively contribute as members <strong>of</strong>health care teams. Because <strong>of</strong> this integration and philosophy, the university is the only school in thenation to <strong>of</strong>fer a dual degree option in which a student can earn degrees in both occupational and physicaltherapy.Again, we welcome each <strong>of</strong> you to the <strong>University</strong>.
