Distance/Online EducationTUITION REFUND POLICY<strong>St</strong>udent’s Right to CancelYou may withdraw from a degree program at any time. Contact the Director <strong>of</strong> your degree program at 1<strong>University</strong> Boulevard, <strong>St</strong> <strong>Augustine</strong>, FL 32086 to request withdrawal from the program. You may contactthe Registration <strong>of</strong>fice by phone at (904) 826-0084 ext 1266 to withdraw from an individual seminar.Academic Credit Refund PolicyA separate payment or tuition price is charged <strong>for</strong> the academic credit (distance education) portion <strong>of</strong> acourse as shown on the enrollment <strong>for</strong>m. If you decide to cancel the academic credit portion <strong>of</strong> the course,the following refund policy applies:• If you cancel within five (5) days after remitting payment <strong>for</strong> the academic credit tuition, the<strong>University</strong> will refund in full the academic credit tuition.• If you cancel the academic credit portion <strong>of</strong> the course be<strong>for</strong>e completing and submitting the firstcredit assignment after five (5) days <strong>of</strong> remitting payment but be<strong>for</strong>e the specified course startdate, the <strong>University</strong> will refund to you the academic credit tuition less an administrative fee equalto 20% <strong>of</strong> the tuition, but not to exceed $200.• After the receipt <strong>of</strong> one (1) or more credit assignments within the specified course enrollmentperiod, the <strong>University</strong> will retain the administrative fee plus a percentage <strong>of</strong> the academic credittuition as follows:Published Length <strong>of</strong> CourseRefundable Tuition Due After-1-6 weeks 1st week = 70% 3rd week = 20%2nd week = 40% 4th week = 0%7-10 weeks 1st week = 80% 4th week = 20%2nd week = 60% 5th week = 0%3rd week = 40%11-15 weeks 1st week = 80% 6th week = 30%2nd week = 70% 7th week = 20%3rd week = 60% 8th week = 10%4th week = 50% 9th week = 0%5th week = 40%Refunds shall be made within 30 days following the date the <strong>University</strong> receives the student’scancellation request. Cancellations <strong>for</strong> the course may be made by contacting the appropriate programadministrative assistant at the <strong>University</strong> (904) 826-0084.Academic Residency courses have a combined seminar and academic credit tuition. In these courses, theSeminar Tuition refund policy as shown above applies.Refund Example: Differential Diagnosis in the Transitional DPT program is 8 weeks long, there<strong>for</strong>e itfalls under the 7-10 weeklong course. The tuition <strong>for</strong> this 2-credit course is $930 ($465 x 2). A studentdecides to leave the course during the second week <strong>of</strong> the course (one (1) week <strong>of</strong> courseworkcompleted). There<strong>for</strong>e, the student is entitled to a refund <strong>of</strong> $744.00 (80% <strong>of</strong> the remaining academiccredit tuition) less the administrative fee <strong>of</strong> $186.00 (20% <strong>of</strong> the total academic credit tuition, not toexceed $200).Tuition/Fees: Separate fees must be paid transcripts, copies and other such services. All required seminarmanuals are included in seminar fees. Recommended and required textbooks are available at an additionalcost.For students who receive federal financial aid and who withdraw from on or be<strong>for</strong>e 60% <strong>of</strong> the term haselapsed, FCSL will calculate according to federal regulations, any amounts disbursed may be returned tothe Title IV programs.<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Augustine</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>Health</strong> <strong>Sciences</strong> 114
