Applies to all University of St Augustine for Health Sciences StudentsTransferability of Course CreditThe transferability of credits you earn at the University of St. Augustine is at the complete discretion ofan institution to which you may seek to transfer. Acceptance of the degree you earn at the University ofSt. Augustine is also at the complete discretion of the institution to which you may seek to transfer. If thedegree you earn at this institution is not accepted at the institution to which you seek to transfer, you maybe required to repeat some or all of your coursework at that institution. For this reason, you should makecertain that your attendance at this institution will meet your educational goals. This may includecontacting an institution to which you may seek transfer after attending the University of St. Augustine todetermine if your degree will transfer. The University actively pursues a policy of requesting othergraduate occupational and physical therapy schools to accept our credits for transfer.GraduationAll degree requirements must be complete before approval to graduate is given by the respective programdirector. Formal graduation ceremonies take place on the Florida and California campuses three (3) timesper year at the conclusion of each trimester. Distance Education students currently attend graduationceremonies on the Florida campus. Should a DE student prefer to participate in the graduation ceremonyon the California campus, it must be approved by the Program Director.Confirmation of a degree is posted to the official academic record following commencement exercises.The graduation fee varies by degree level and is paid at the time the student submits the Application toGraduate form* as noted on the Academic Calendar. Honors designation is given to entry-level,transitional and post professional students who have earned a cumulative GPA of a 3.50 – 3.64. HighHonors designation is given to students who have earned a cumulative GPA of 3.65 – 4.0. The cumulativeGPA is calculated through the final trimester of coursework.*Many of the forms mentioned in this handbook are located on the myUSA portal Students tab, or can befound under individual program tabs on the myUSA portal.TUITION AND FEESThe University publishes an official Schedule of Tuition and Fees for each division of the University. Because theprograms within each division vary, the student should carefully study the charges that apply as set forth below.All tuition is due at registration. All charges are subject to change without advance notice.Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT)Florida Campus: The full-time MOT program is six trimesters in duration consisting of a minimum of 107 credithours. Tuition for resident coursework is as follows: $11,150 per trimester for the 2012-2013 academic year.Additional costs and fees (including textbooks) are estimated at $5,000 for the total program.• Application fee: $50.00• Campus Access fee: $160.00• Graduation fee: $150.00California Campus: The full-time MOT program is six trimesters in duration consisting of a minimum of107 credit hours. Tuition for resident coursework is as follows: $13,285 per trimester for the 2012-2013academic year.
