Saturday Morning Junior Netball<br />

Training commences Wednesday 21 st March 2012 at the <strong>Waikerie</strong> Netball Courts from 3.45 – 4.45. Registrations are<br />

still being accepted and forms are available from the Rec Centre. This year a sub committee has been formed and<br />

One line expression of interest for coaches and teams willing to coach as well as ALL interested players for the<br />

Loxton <strong>Waikerie</strong> Libraries<br />

<strong>Waikerie</strong> Public Library will be holding it’s bi-annual book sale on Saturday, 31st March in the <strong>Waikerie</strong> Council<br />

foyer from 9:30am until 3:00pm. All stock are ex-library books, consisting of fiction and non-fiction for adults and<br />

children. All books are great value for money with prices starting at $0.50. Please contact Michael Cox (Library<br />

Under 13’s Football Training<br />

<strong>Waikerie</strong> Under 13’s football training will commence on Monday, 26th March 2012 at 4:00pm at the <strong>Waikerie</strong><br />

Football Oval. Full training gear required with football boots or sneakers OK. For further information, please<br />

Nominations for The <strong>Waikerie</strong> Skate Park Committee Community Representatives<br />

The District Council of Loxton <strong>Waikerie</strong> is seeking expressions of interest to fill the existing committee of the <strong>Waikerie</strong> Skate<br />

Park Committee.<br />

The <strong>Waikerie</strong> Skate Park Committee is a committee of Council that is responsible to oversee and be<br />

responsible for the development and maintenance of the property known as the <strong>Waikerie</strong> SK8/BMX Park<br />

complex located on lot 643 Lawrie Terrace, <strong>Waikerie</strong> which is held by the District Council of Loxton<br />

<strong>Waikerie</strong>.<br />

The management committee, formed under the direction and guidance of the Council, is to maintain and plan for the future<br />

development and upgrading of facilities within the Park complex for the benefit of all members of the community and visitors<br />

to the <strong>Waikerie</strong> area.<br />

Expressions of interest or further enquiries should be forwarded to the District Council of Loxton <strong>Waikerie</strong>, Mrs Sue Schultz,<br />

Kidsafe SA Infant Safety Training Session<br />

Kidsafe SA provides an education, information and resource service for parents and<br />

carers of young children on all aspects of child safety and injury prevention. Our<br />

purpose lies in “Making a Safer World for Kids”, by reducing the number and severity<br />

of unintentional injuries to children, and by creating a safer environment for Australian<br />

children to live and grow. Our Infant Safety Training covers a whole range of topics on child safety and injury prevention<br />

including: falls, burns and scalds, driveway run overs, safe infant sleeping, child car restraints, drowning, poisoning, choking,<br />

nursery furniture and dog bites. A Kidsafe SA Infant Safety Training Session is to be held in <strong>Waikerie</strong>.<br />

When: Friday, 9th March 2012<br />

Where: <strong>Waikerie</strong> Community Centre, 1 Crush Tce (next to the Police station), <strong>Waikerie</strong><br />

Time: 10.30am – 1pm<br />

Light lunch supplied at completion of session<br />
