Saturday Morning Junior Netball
Training commences Wednesday 21 st March 2012 at the Waikerie Netball Courts from 3.45 – 4.45. Registrations are
still being accepted and forms are available from the Rec Centre. This year a sub committee has been formed and

Waikerie Hockey Season
One line expression of interest for coaches and teams willing to coach as well as ALL interested players for the
upcoming season to be sent to PO BOX 248 Waikerie or waikeriehockeyclub@hotmail.com before March, 13th
2012.
Loxton Waikerie Libraries
Waikerie Public Library will be holding it’s bi-annual book sale on Saturday, 31st March in the Waikerie Council
foyer from 9:30am until 3:00pm. All stock are ex-library books, consisting of fiction and non-fiction for adults and
children. All books are great value for money with prices starting at $0.50. Please contact Michael Cox (Library

Under 13’s Football Training
Waikerie Under 13’s football training will commence on Monday, 26th March 2012 at 4:00pm at the Waikerie
Football Oval. Full training gear required with football boots or sneakers OK. For further information, please

Nominations for The Waikerie Skate Park Committee Community Representatives
The District Council of Loxton Waikerie is seeking expressions of interest to fill the existing committee of the Waikerie Skate
Park Committee.
The Waikerie Skate Park Committee is a committee of Council that is responsible to oversee and be
responsible for the development and maintenance of the property known as the Waikerie SK8/BMX Park
complex located on lot 643 Lawrie Terrace, Waikerie which is held by the District Council of Loxton
Waikerie.
The management committee, formed under the direction and guidance of the Council, is to maintain and plan for the future
development and upgrading of facilities within the Park complex for the benefit of all members of the community and visitors
to the Waikerie area.

Kidsafe SA Infant Safety Training Session
Kidsafe SA provides an education, information and resource service for parents and
carers of young children on all aspects of child safety and injury prevention. Our
purpose lies in “Making a Safer World for Kids”, by reducing the number and severity
of unintentional injuries to children, and by creating a safer environment for Australian
children to live and grow. Our Infant Safety Training covers a whole range of topics on child safety and injury prevention
including: falls, burns and scalds, driveway run overs, safe infant sleeping, child car restraints, drowning, poisoning, choking,
nursery furniture and dog bites. A Kidsafe SA Infant Safety Training Session is to be held in Waikerie.
When: Friday, 9th March 2012
Where: Waikerie Community Centre, 1 Crush Tce (next to the Police station), Waikerie
Time: 10.30am – 1pm
Light lunch supplied at completion of session
