This resin is approved by the FDA for contact with food.Stem is Hastelloy-C metal insert with molded glass fiber/polysulfonecomposite on all wetted surfaces. Continuous temperature service ratingfrom -50 to 300 degrees F at 275 psig.Nil-Cor Series 500 graphite-fiber-reinforcedpolyphenylene sulfide (1”-4”)Made of a solid construction of graphitefibers combined with high strength,corrosion resistant thermoplasticpolyphenylene sulfide resin. The 500model’s outstanding resistance tosolvents, organic acids, caustics andsalt solutions as well as high temperatureresistance make it an excellentvalve material. Nil-Cor 300/310 SeriesButterfly ValvesAdvanced Composite MaterialsThe 300/310 Series Butterfly Valves are molded of premium vinylester resin, reinforced with either graphite or glass fiber, matchingthe outstanding corrosion resistance and other benefits and advantagesof the Nil-Cor 300/310 Series Ball Valves. The lug wafervalves have molded-in 316 stainless steel lugs, which will not rotateor pull out during installation under high torque loading. Thefull-face Nil-Cor 300/310 valves offer full flange support in FRP andlight gauge metal piping systems. Heavy cross section of 300/310series full-face Nil-Cor valve bodies is strong enough to resist pressuresurges that can damage FRP pipe flanges.Bubble-Tight Sealing:For Nil-Cor butterfly valves, sizes 3" thru 12". Nil-Cor offers ahigh-performance design Viton (2) GF seat ring that provides for tightsealing from low to the highest rated pressure. Optional seat materialfor 3"-8" is TFE. They cost as much as 35% less than TFE-linedbutterfly valves. Molded of Derakane 470 (1) vinyl ester and graphitefiber, they can outperform CPVC, FVC, and lined metal butterflyvalves.Extended Seat Life:A double eccentric disc design moves the disc quickly away fromthe seat to the open position, eliminating permanent seat deformationand preventing excessive seat wear caused by prolonged contactwith disc. The butterfly valve seat can be replaced withoutvalve disassembly.Sizes:Wafer sizes are 3", 4", 6", 8", 10", and 12". Full-face wafer and lugwafer valves are available through 8" diameter. Full-face wafer butterflyvalves with bolt holes are recommended for use with FRPpipe for flange protection even where lug valves are not required.3
