Prevalence of BreastfeedlngTable 8.12 presents data on the proportion of children born in the three years before the survey whowere ever breastfed <strong>and</strong> the percentage of the most recent births who started breastfeeding within one hour<strong>and</strong> one day of birth. Almost all <strong>Bangladesh</strong>i children (96 percent) are breastfed for some period of time,regardless of background characteristics of the child or the mother.
